Privacy and data protection
How your information is collected, protected, used and deleted.
Who we are
Marshall Wills & Trusts is the data controller for information you provide through this website. Contact: anthony@marshallwillsandtrusts.co.uk.
What we collect and why
We collect the personal, family and financial information needed to consider your circumstances and prepare your Will or estate planning documents. We only ask for information relevant to that purpose.
What we never ask for
- Online banking passwords
- PIN numbers
- Full card details
- Account login credentials
Lawful basis
We process your information to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and for our legitimate interest in assessing and responding to your enquiry. Marketing communications are sent only with your separate, explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Storage and security
Your information is held in a secure, access-controlled database. Access is restricted to authorised Marshall Wills & Trusts personnel. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and summary emails deliberately exclude unnecessary sensitive detail.
Retention
Enquiries that do not proceed are retained only for as long as necessary and are then deleted. Where documents are prepared, records are retained in line with professional and legal requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
